Founder’s Story
Dolgío means ripple in Mongolian — and like a ripple, its story begins with a return to my roots.
I was born in northern Mongolia, where winters are long, summers fleeting, and resilience isn’t something you talk about — it’s how you live. Nomads carried only what mattered, used every resource wisely, and moved through the seasons with grace and grit. Nothing was wasted. Everything had meaning.
Years later, after immigrating to the U.S. to build a career, I found myself drifting — uninspired, worn down, and watching my hair thin as I lived in survival mode. A trip back home changed everything. I remembered the rhythm of nomadic life, and with it, an old ritual: rinsing hair with nettle to keep it strong and shiny.
From that memory, Dolgío was born — a return to simplicity, resilience, and care that creates ripples far beyond the self.”
